Saturday Masters - Loggins and Messina

  1. I love Kenny Loggins. You've selected a great array of his talent. I've always wondered why Vicki Randle, the multi-talented singer and instrumentalist who toured with him and performs with Jay Leno's band has never made it big. Maybe she considers that she has. She is so unique - rides a Harley, lives life exactly how she wants.

And Messina - from the duo with Kenny to Poco to his Performance Workshop - it's just interesting how artists intertwine through each others lives.

    Great songs here. Thanks.

  3. You're so right Kass, There was an incredible pool of talent that split, then reformed in different combinations and influenced so much music throughout the 70's and 80's. I didn't realize Vicki Randle was with Leno. I never watched it. I like how she fitted in so well with Loggins on this cover of You're Mama Don't Dance. He was a very good songwriter as Leslie points out. I'm glad you liked the selection. Most of youtube's collection of these two is junkie camera phone stuff from recent concerts. Hard to watch and harder to listen to.
