You are as young as your faith, as old as your doubt; as young as your self-confidence, as old as your fear; as young as your hope, as old as your despair. ~Douglas MacArthur
ah, this mellowed me right out. i've been buzzing around like a hummingbird on speed all day. are those daffodils or jonquils? i can never remember which is which.
me either. The many are Jonquils I think. the single is a daffodil, One of many, but the only one to stay still in the wind. A hummingbird on speed.Nice image but it's moving too fast to see.
OH, that's the typical daffodil show! The little gift that keeps on giving. And on and on and on.
The first time I went to the UK, it was for the month of April and part of May. I'd never seen wide open fields of wild-growing daffodils, county after county. I was from San Diego, for cryin' out loud. It affected me profoundly.
Wonderful Picasso quote. Where is the stem for that last daffo? It seems to be floating in mid-air. I kind of like how industrial the background looks.
Our culture's gotten away from mellow as of late. 'Tis a shame.
ReplyDeleteAcrimony everywhere 'tis indeed a shame.

This gave me a wash of sunshine from head to toe! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteJonquils are the ones that are yellow and white. These are daffodils.

ReplyDeleteOK Thanks for clearing that up Leslie. It's hard to see in these pictures that the many are very tiny while the one is very large.
